About

Louisa is a psychotherapist with a specialisation in Trauma Therapy. She consults internationally and in South Africa, to a broad base of clients, pertaining to relationships, personal growth, trauma, conflict management and self- actualization. She has a particular interest in the psychology of love, midlife transition and awakening.  Unconscious motivators for behaviour, drives and relationships motivated Louisa to establish  an academy for adult actualization, specializing in relationship insights and intrinsic growth using the principles of depth psychology and the symbology of myth and story- telling.

Louisa’s approach draws on a number of different modalities. In order to expand her personal understanding and search for meaning, Louisa has explored and studied a number of healing modalities. These include work and study with indigenous healers both in South Africa, South America, North America and Hawaii. Louisa’s approach is holistic, incorporating a Western paradigm with a sensitivity to universalism and connectivity.

Louisa’s ethos is rooted in Positive Psychology, based on the premise that people want to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives, to enhance and cultivate the best within themselves, and to magnify their experiences of love, work, and play. She has a pragmatic, incisive and cogent approach,

Louisa has conducted bespoke retreats for executives suffering from burnout and midlife crises. She conducts courses  in the field of adult actualization, enabling clients to access unconscious desires, drives and motivations.
